Peter Apel was admitted as a solicitor in 1989 after obtaining degrees in Commerce and Law from the University of Queensland. He and holds practising certificates for all Queensland Courts including the Family Court, Federal Court and the High Court of Australia.

Peter is a past President and Life Member of the North Qld Law Association (representing Solicitors from Mackay to the Far North) and the Wildlife Conservancy of Tropical Qld. Peter is currently Chair of Mareeba Shire Job Training Association, and Secretary of Variety Queensland – The Children’s Charity.

Peter Apel is a Queensland Law Society Senior Counsellor and Notary Public.

Peter has a love of remote area work and travel and on the weekend he will be out by 4WD or on foot looking for the prettiest sights and places in Far North Qld.
